Description of activities,tasks

Students will develop their communicative competence to achieve proficiency in Spanish, both through communication with native speakers, as telephone, writing assignments ...

The practice aims to get the student autonomy in the reception activities, reservations, restaurant or kitchen in a hotel context.
-The student's tasks include all activities of a hotel reception or reservations department  like check-in, check-out, customer service, reservations, management either in person, by telephone or by email.

-In the restaurant they will be in direct contact with customers of different nationalities who with they can use their language skills, in addition to the typical work of a restaurant.

-In the kitchen they will practice their language skills with the colleagues of work, and they will learn the specific vocabulary relating with the kitchen, aliments, etc.

-In the Entertainment department they will be in touch with clients of different nationalities, they will organize different acitivities for adults and children

The “Polytechnische Schule Gmunden” is a prevocational school for pupils at the age of 14/15 years.

In one of our five classes disabled pupils are taught as well as not disabled pupils.

Besides, there are a lot of kids from different nations – as from Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Romania or Germany – and therefore there are various ethnic backgrounds at our school.

 

We are cooperating with about 600 different companies in our neighbour surroundings.

Our school can be seen as the link between education and economy.

We have 6 different programmes as follows:

Metalwork, Woodwork, Electro-technics, Commerce, Tourism  and  Service.

 

In our understanding school should not be only a place for studying but also for social learning,

we offer many different activities  - e.g. hiking trips, team-teaching activities, excursions, a skiing week or a final trip to Croatia.

 

Our school is located in Upper Austria amid a beautiful scenery: lake “Traunsee” and many mountains, in particular our “ Guardian Mountain”, “Traunstein (1691m).

That´s why a lot of tourists come here on vacation every year, especially in summer.

We also like to cherish the beauty of our landscape with our pupils by exploring our surroundings offside touristic sights or hiking trails.

Description of activities

Role Overview:

Support the Production and Acquisition Assistant in her daily administrative tasks and some office tasks.

Main Duties:

  • Support the Production and Acquisitions assistant in her daily administrative tasks
  • Help in the preparation of Film Market and Festivals (schedules and booklet)
  • Keeping up to date Production and Acquisitions documents (contact list, Crew list, etc…)
  • Update the script submission database for production and Acquisitions on a daily basis
  • Preparing the weekly Agenda for the International submissions call
  • Schedule and book meeting rooms when necessary
  • Print out Scripts and distribute to the team when necessary
  • Adhoc research for Production, Acquisitions, Development department
  • Filing (DVD library, Production files, etc…)
  • Complete any runs/collections
