Course Selection & Learning Agreement (OLA – EWP System)

The Learning Agreement is the key academic document in Erasmus+ student mobility. At Kilis 7 Aralık University, all Learning Agreements are prepared and managed through the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) system operating within the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) digital infrastructure.

This EU-developed system provides a fully digital, secure and standardised academic approval process between partner universities.

 

What is a Learning Agreement?

The Learning Agreement is a formal academic contract between:

• The student
• Kilis 7 Aralık University
• The host university

It specifies:

• The courses to be taken abroad
• Their ECTS credits
• Their equivalent courses at Kilis 7 Aralık University

This ensures that the study period abroad is fully recognised without academic loss.

 

How Are Courses Selected?

Students select courses from the host university’s course catalogue that are:

• Relevant to their study field
• Compatible in terms of content and language
• Balanced in terms of ECTS workload

Normally, 30 ECTS per semester is required. Selected courses are reviewed and approved via the OLA system by departmental and institutional coordinators.

 

How Does the OLA Process Work?

1. The student logs into the OLA system
2. Creates the Learning Agreement by selecting courses
3. Kilis 7 Aralık University and the host institution approve it digitally
4. The student starts the mobility

If changes are needed after arrival, the “During the Mobility” section is updated and re-approved through OLA.

• All courses are formally approved in advance
• Academic recognition is legally and digitally secured
• Credit transfer and grade conversion after return are smooth and transparent
