Our university’s Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS) articulates the core elements of our institutional internationalization strategy and our objectives in participating in the Erasmus+ Programme. The EPS serves as a roadmap, explaining how we align our education and research missions with the opportunities provided by Erasmus+. It is crafted in line with the modernization and internationalization goals of European higher education, demonstrating our commitment to provide quality education and foster global engagement. In developing the EPS, we have taken into account our university’s mission, vision, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring that our institutional priorities and the Erasmus+ Programme’s goals are harmonized.
The EPS outlines our commitment to innovative teaching methodologies, multi-disciplinary learning, and a strong integration of education and research – all with a central focus on the student experience. By embracing student-centered learning and promoting creativity and entrepreneurship, we aim to equip our students and staff with the skills required by the 21st-century global economy. The EPS also emphasizes themes such as digital transformation, multilingualism, social inclusion, and sustainability, reflecting key European priorities for higher education. Erasmus+ is identified as a pivotal tool in realizing this strategy, enabling us to enhance academic quality and broaden our international reach through mobility and cooperation projects.
Crucially, our EPS aligns with the vision of the European Education Area and contributes to broader European initiatives like the New Skills Agenda for Europe. This means our strategy not only focuses on institutional benefits but also on supporting Europe-wide objectives – for example, by improving digital competencies, fostering intercultural understanding, and promoting common European values among our campus community. In summary, the Erasmus Policy Statement stands as a confident, institution-wide pledge to uphold quality, innovation, and international collaboration. It provides a transparent and trustworthy declaration to both our internal stakeholders and international partners of how we intend to excel under the Erasmus+ Programme framework.
