Inclusion Support
Inclusion Support
Erasmus+ provides additional grants and real-cost support so that participants with fewer opportunities can also take part in mobility.
The Erasmus+ Programme encourages the participation of people with fewer opportunities. According to the Turkish National Agency, a participant with fewer opportunities is a person who faces economic or social obstacles, or who could not take part in a mobility activity without additional financial support because of a physical, mental or health condition.
Types of support
1. Inclusion top-up: +€250 per month. Paid in addition to the standard monthly grant for the whole mobility period (2–12 months) to students who document at least one of the criteria below. Reductions and the 80%/20% payment rule apply in the same way.
2. Real-cost support. Additional costs arising from a disability or health condition (e.g. an accompanying person, special transport, medical support, accessible accommodation) can be requested before the activity with a request form and supporting documents; they are covered on a real-cost basis subject to National Agency approval.
Who is eligible for the top-up? (outgoing K7AU students)
Under the Turkish National Agency 2025 KA131 Implementation Handbook (Art. 6.1.D), students who meet one of the following criteria:
- Persons under a protection, care or shelter decision under Social Services Law No. 2828
- Persons under a protection, care or shelter decision under Child Protection Law No. 5395
- Recipients of an orphan’s or survivor’s pension
- Spouses and children of martyrs and veterans, and veterans themselves
- Students who document that they, their family or guardian receive social assistance from a public institution
- Students with a disability report of 50% or more
- Students one of whose parents or whose guardian receives a disability pension or a needs-based (age 65+) pension
- Students who, or whose first-degree relatives, receive disaster victim assistance from AFAD
KYK (Credit and Dormitories Institution) scholarships/loans and one-off payments are not counted as financial assistance for this purpose. Documents must be valid at the time of application.
How to apply
- Contact the Office: visit the Erasmus+ Office or write to erasmus@kilis.edu.tr.
- Prepare your supporting document: an official document proving the relevant criterion.
- Submit the request form before the activity starts, together with your documents. For real-cost requests, include the estimated additional costs.
- Approval and payment: the Office assesses the request; the top-up is added to your grant agreement and paid with the standard grant. Real-cost requests are submitted to the National Agency for approval.
Incoming students: inclusion support for incoming Erasmus+ students is granted by their home institution under its own National Agency’s rules. If you have specific needs (e.g. accessibility, health), please let the Erasmus+ Office know before arrival so that we can help arrange suitable conditions on campus.
